INDEPENDENCE HOUSE LAGOS NIGERIA






The Independence House was constructed in honor of Nigeria's Independece from Britain October 1st 1960. Many Nigerians do not know anything about this 25 Storey Edifice located south west of  Tafawa Balewa Square Complex (formally called Race Course) in Lagos Island. Constructed by the outgoing British Colonian Government from 1959-1961, and housed many of the government offices at the dawn of Independence. It's last occupant was the Ministry of Defence before moving to Abuja

Kings College Lagos is the oldest government college in Nigeria. It was founded in 1909. Many who and who in Nigeria are products of this school. They include captains of industries, university professors, Royal fathers and politicians.
